Let's hope I won't be in the Larry Steele's way when he returns to revenge. 'Cause damn, this record kicks ass.

In celebration of Karate King Records’ twentieth release, label owner Karate King unites with old and new talent to give you the sequel to The Annihilator, the first ever KKR release that made a splash in 2015’s retrowave scene. Following where Part One left off, Annihilator II: Steele Vengeance further develops the story of vigilante hero Larry Steele on his quest of revenge, telling it through musical cues ranging from boldly delicate to brutally menacing and dark, all with an authentically vintage sound palette that will make synth aficionados go wild. Under Karate King’s creative guidance, a team of music producers from all over the globe composed original bangers with the sole purpose of creating the soundtrack to the most sadistically violent 80’s action movie never made: Annihilator II: Steele Vengeance. The album features compositions by: Bionic Resistance (Germany), Default Sample Music (UK), Dimi Kaye (Greece/Germany), Europaweite Aussichten (Germany), JON (USA), Future Girlfriend 音楽 (Paraguay), Karate King (Germany), Red Marker, RIVONIA (both UK), Stilz (Canada), Takahashi Jones (Sweden), The TCR, and Vector Assailant (both USA).
Karate King and friends invite you to get lost in their cinematic world – a world in which forgiveness is not an option. Annihilator II: Steele Vengeance is out now on Karate King Records on limited edition cassette, CD and digital.
Plot premise of Annihilator II: Steele Vengeance:
Seven years after having taken out the entire Vincenzo family in a blood-spattered killing spree of revenge, Larry Steele, the Annihilator, lives a secluded life in a Tibetan monastery. Haunted by the demons of his past, Larry tries to regain balance through labor and prayer as a Buddhist monk. But “one fateful day”, karma places its ugly foot on the doorstep… As it turns out, Larry did NOT kill the entire brood that viciously slaughtered his daughter and wife. He left one person behind: Mario Vincenzo, the foster-son of Donna and Vito who – along with the rest of his family – were brutally massacred by the Annihilator when Mario was a young teenager. The orphan child has now grown into a successful “businessman” whose New York empire is quickly expanding its influence over the whole American east coast. And there’s only one ulterior motive for the young pitiless mafia boss: Inflicting endless, unspeakable pain on The Annihilator who took everyone from him that he loved.
After having tracked down The Annihilator in his Tibetan hiding place, Mario has his men mutilate, maim and incinerate Larry’s monk brothers and leaves him a message: It’s a box containing a cut-off finger and a photograph of 18 year-old Larry and his infant sister Abbie – who he thought had burned to death in a car crash along with his parents only months after being born. There’s a note on the back of the photograph: “I got your sister. This is her thumb. You can pick up her head in New York.”
The story further unfolds as an armed to the teeth Larry descends into a bottomless pit of violence, mayhem and suffering – a nightmarish world in which forgiveness doesn’t exist and everything becomes a seemingly endless feedback loop of revenge.

This EP is superb. I did not expect the closing track to sound the way it does. Such an atmospheric and emotional sound, it really turns the rest of the EP up to eleven. zWarhead
